Access Community Data Using “TOPS Mobile Manager” handheld application

December 19, 2007- Gaithersburg, Maryland:

TOPS Software, LLC released a new software application today that will allow property managers using PDAs or Windows Mobile enabled phones with touch screens to access important community data in the field. TOPS Mobile Manager loads community data from TOPS v3.2.1™ or TOPS On-Site™ onto a PDA or phone for access in the field and then synchronizes information updated from the field back to the primary TOPS Software program. TOPS Mobile Manager is an upgrade to TOPS Software’s Mobile PDA Interface, and incorporates all of the features previously offered by that product, and several exciting new features as well.

One significant new feature is the ability to attach pictures to CC&R and Work Order records in the field. Now users can take pictures of violations or work order sites, attach them to the record on the mobile device and then sync that information back to their TOPS system. The pictures stay with the record through the sync and are immediately available to all users for access through their TOPS program.

Other features accessible through new TOPS Mobile Manager include the Gate Security Module, Work Order and Service Requests Module, CC&R Violations and Architectural Requests Module, and Pool Pass Module. Each of these modules allows adding, deleting, and modifying of records on the mobile device. In addition to the editable modules, the Community Fact Sheet and Owner database information, including current account balance, is available in read only format. The availability of this information to property managers during field inspections and board meetings means substantial time saving efficiencies.

The TOPS Mobile Manager is available for mobile devices running the following Operating Systems: Windows® Pocket PC 2003, Windows® Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC Phone with Touch Screen, Windows® Mobile 6 Professional for Phones with Touch Screen, and Windows® Mobile 6 Classic non-phone PDAs.
