We Are Open!

Power has been restored to TOPS Clearwater, FL offices, and we are opening today in limited capacity. We do not anticipate being fully staffed until Monday, September 18th, as some of our employees are still in evacuation locations. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

September 13, 2017

TOPS and TOPS employees have safely made it through Irma. However, TOPS offices will be closed today, September 13th, due to a lack of power in the offices. Our power company is currently estimating that power will be restored by Midnight on September 15th. We are eagerly awaiting for power to be restored in our offices so that we can get back to serving our customers. This page will be updated as more information becomes available.

September 11, 2017

Due to the continuing effects of Irma on TOPS employees and their families, the TOPS office will be closed Monday, September 11th and Tuesday, September 12th. 

September 9, 2017

Schools are now officially closed on Monday and Tuesday. Many of the schools here are being used as shelters from the hurricane. As of now a decision has not been made on the TOPS office, but stay tuned to this space.

September 7, 2017

Our Offices Are Closed For Irma

Mandatory evacuations have begun, and as a result TOPS offices will be closing today (September 7th) at 2pm. The office will remain closed on Friday September 8th to give our team and their families time to get to safety. We will re-open after the storm has passed. Please stay tuned to this space for more information.

Backup Your Data

It's looking pretty clear that Florida will be getting a visit from Hurricane Irma. Among your many preparations to keep your families safe, don't forget your data. If you are using one of our cloud services like TOPS [ONE], TOPS iQ or TOPS Hosted, your data are safe in the cloud (and our servers are located in a safe part of the country, so your data will be just fine.) If you are using the TOPS Backup Service, be sure to run a manual backup today to cover your bases. If you are not a backup user, you can do a down and dirty backup solution in TOPS Pro by copying the entire TOPS folder from your server to an external hard drive (which you should be sure to store somewhere waterproof).

With our offices being located in Clearwater, FL, we at TOPS are closely monitoring the progression of Hurricane Irma. At this time, we are not planning to close our offices, however, in light of the Florida Governor declaring a state of emergency for the state, we are taking precautions to be prepared, and some of our employees have chosen to evacuate.

We will be posting updates to this page as we have them.

No Interruption of Service

TOPS [ONE], TOPS iQ and TOPS Hosted should remain completely operational during this time, as our servers are located in the upper Midwest and will not be effected by the storm.

Alternative Support Channels

While we do not currently anticipate any office closures, the storm has the potential to change at any moment. In the event that our offices and TOPS Support Line must close, we recommend clients take advantage of one of these alternative avenues to get support:

  • Go to support.topssoft.com to access a searchable knowledge base, as well as browse and create support tickets
  • Use the feedback tool built in to TOPS [ONE] to leave a message within the app.*
  • To create a ticket now, email support@topssoft.com. Your ticket will be treated similarly to a call for our standard support, and we will reach out to you in the order we received your request.*
  • If you have a sales question, or need assistance with issues not support related, please email your account manager or email sales@topssoft.com.

* Please be advised that your feedback and issues will be responded to as quickly as possible, but in the event of an extensive power outage, we cannot guarantee response times.
