TOPS Software announces the release of Unlimited Flex Data

TOPS Software announced today the release of Unlimited Flex Data, a new addition to two of their Association Management Software products, TOPS 2000™ and TOPS On-Site™.

Bruce Gran, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, Senior Vice President Business Development of TOPS Software had this to say: “TOPS products have always had the ability to store custom data linked to an owner record, but the addition of the Unlimited Flex Data takes this functionality to the next level.” This update to the TOPS 2000™ basic system and the TOPS On-Site™ Owner Database, provides many new capabilities to TOPS Software users:

• Create and store an unlimited number of custom data fields.
• Group custom fields into categories which may be displayed as a tabbed interface.
• Link custom data to either an owner or a home, allowing the data to stay with the home upon a resale.
• Define various custom field types such as text or drop down list, and define settings for each field type, such as hyperlink or plain text. Further customize fields by defining default values for all new records.
• Use the built-in reporting, or take advantage of the simple to use custom report engine to generate reports based on exactly the flex data you need.
• Special community specific reporting options included, such as the ability to calculate a date field as an age for legal reporting in 55 and over communities.
• Administrator defined role-based security settings for creating, editing, and data entry of custom fields.
• Simple conversion process for existing Flex Data users.

“The Unlimited Flex Data program has undergone a rigorous testing process both internally and through an extensive public beta test group,” says Mr. Gran. “I feel confident that we have done our utmost to insure that Unlimited Flex will perform above and beyond expectations.”

Unlimited Flex Data is a free update that is being offered to all TOPS 2000™ customers on version 3.2.1 and all TOPS On-Site™ customers, with a current Maintenance Support Agreement, as well as being included in all new system sales going forward. TOPS On-Site™ customers will need to install the Microsoft .NET framework, in order to use the new Unlimited Flex Data feature.
