TOPS Software to Release Internet
Backup Service

Property Management Systems, Inc., makers of TOPS Software, the leading software for community association management, announced today that they would be releasing a new Internet Backup Service. The service will allow users of TOPS 2000™ property management software to backup community data directly to an Internet server via a program interface built in to TOPS 2000™. The Internet backup service is scheduled for release December 15, 2002, in time for year-end backups.
Using the new Internet Backup Service, customers can define a backup scheme for one or more communities that they manage. The backup scheme may include daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and manual backups, and each community may use a different backup scheme. Backups may be scheduled to run automatically at any time of day, as specified by the user.
TOPS Software will provide Internet Backup Service subscribers with an offsite Internet server to store backups. Additionally, TOPS will store a redundant copy of backed up data on a server at their Gaithersburg, Maryland facilities. This redundancy insures that backed up data will be available to customers regardless of circumstances.
