New Update Schedule for 2007 |
|

In an effort to reduce the number of program updates we release, TOPS Software will be moving to a monthly update schedule in 2007. Starting January 2007, updates will be released on the third Wednesday of each month. We recommend that you set your scheduler to run the TOPS Internet Updater on the evening of the third Thursday or Friday of each month. Waiting until then, or even scheduling the updates over the weekend will avoid potential delays due to all customers connecting to the updater at the same time. Please note that this new policy applies to regular program updates. Critical updates will continue to be released as needed.

Technical Support Update |

We are now entering the busy season for TOPS Software's technical support team, as our customers begin their year-end cycle. Please be advised that call volume is extremely heavy during this time of year, and therefore, premium clients may not receive a 45 minute call back time. The TOPS Technical Support team will make every effort to call back each and every customer in a timely manner. We advise you to make sure that you have a login to the Online Customer Care Center, where you may access our knowledge base, as well as a history of your prior support tickets.

TOPS U Presents: Setting Up the CCR/ACC Enforcement Module |
|
|
On January 17, 2007, TOPS U will be offering the first in a five course series on the CCR/ACC Enforcement module. The courses will be offered every other month throughout 2007, until the series is completed. Students who successfully complete all five courses in the series will be given the opportunity to take a test and become certified by TOPS Software as a CCR/ACC Enforcement Specialist.
The first course in the series, "Setting up the CCR/ACC Enforcement Module," is designed to teach the proper methods of setting up the CCR/ACC Enforcement module to be used as efficiently as possible. This course will focus on the CCR/ACC Enforcement process, the Control Info settings, and the intricacies of the CCR Codes.

Discontinuation Notice |

Effective November 1st, 2006, TOPS Software
will be discontinuing the old form letter program in TOPS
v3.2.1™. The "Use Advanced Form Letter" option under
Setup will be removed, and all versions of the form letter
program will be automatically upgraded to the current version.
If you have not already switched to the Advanced Form Letter
program, we recommend you do so prior to this date.
To switch, click Setup, Use Advanced Form Letter. Please note that this will automatically convert all existing form letters to the new format. If your form letters have unusual formatting, such as space-based alignment, you will need to review and correct them.
