	Identity Theft Protection In accordance with new legislation in several states as well as proposed nationwide laws, TOPS is pleased to introduce our new identity theft protection measures. The media is rife with stories of stolen account data being stolen from the databases of some of the largest institutions in the world, so this is very much an issues of current concern. TOPS has implemented a dual layered personalized data encryption method that protects the homeowner account data stored in your TOPS communities.
	Closed Month Protection Protect against fraud and errors with the Closed Month Protection feature, which prevents users without an override password from entering transactions in periods that have been marked as closed.
	User Groups: Page Level Restrictions The Users & Passwords security module for TOPS rivals some of the top system security setups for software around the world. User Groups or “Roles” are first defined by the administrator to categorize user types, such as Billing, Receiving, Managers, and Administration. Access restrictions for both menus and modules may then be defined for each role. Restrictions are grouped in a ‘tree’ display to make it easy for administrators to define levels of access (Full, Read Only or None) for entire modules, or individual subsections within each module.
	User Rights: "My Communities" Access Lists In addition to page level group/role restrictions, TOPS allows users to be set up with a customized list of accessible communities. This provides an additional layer of security by allowing access only to those communities that are relevant to each user. This “My Communities” list is then accessible by the user within other areas of the software such as Job Streaming and Global AP for multi-community operations.
	User Log Tracking A key administrative tool in TOPS is our Security Logs, which track all user navigation within the program. The log files provide a simple monitoring tool to help protect your organization against fraudulent activities without complicated or expensive processes.
