A new patch was pushed to the Internet Updater for TOPS Professional this morning, in which we give some much needed love to the Form Letter and Job Streaming modules. We have also decided to hold off on the release of TOPS Professional 4.1 with AP invoice attachments until further testing can be completed. In the meantime, enjoy today's patch, which contains a large number of corrections to the Form Letter and a couple of significant updates to the Job Streaming module. A big upgrade to TOPS Professional is in QA now and scheduled to be released next month, the new version 4.1 will incorporate a number of changes to the Accounts Payable system which were introduced in a preview session at the recent User Conference. Several new updates have been added to TOPS Professional's new iMail feature. These include a very popular user request - Mass Subscriptions! Now you can select a group of owners or renters and mass enter email addresses for them, and then mass-subscribe the selected owners to the various iMail categories. In addition to Mass Subscriptions, two more new features have been added to iMail: User Signatures and Unsubscribe messages. TOPS Software regretfully announces that a year-long collaboration with Tracer Pro has ended. The partnership was formed to allow the Tracer Pro mobile applications access to the TOPS databases. A meeting yesterday between executives at TOPS and Tracer Pro culminated in an agreement that the partnership be dissolved.
Mike Hardy, Vice President of Sales at TOPS had this to say on the matter: "Tracer Pro is a good company with good people, but unfortunately this partnership was not successful. We wish them the best of luck."
TOPS will continue to provide support for existing customers using the current Tracer Pro plugin for TOPS Professional. However, any customers purchasing Tracer Pro after notification will not be elligible for support from TOPS Software. Future enhancements to Tracer Pro programs will also not be elligible for support by TOPS support technicians.

Our Accounts Receivable module received some much needed love today with some exciting new (and often requested) features. The main impetus for these changes was the passage of Nevada Law NRS 116. This law requires that fines and violations have an AR ledger and history that is independant from other AR charges, and that interest on these charges is delayed, and does not begin calculating until a 60 day period has passed. After the cut, we will walk you through what is included in this update, and show you pictures of where to find the new features. |
