TOPS U: Internet Training
By popular Demand, TOPS U is expanding our course offerings to
provide more online training opportunities each month. In February
we will be offering four courses, including the popular series of
classes on the CCR/ACC Enforcement module, and five courses will
be offered in March.
February Courses at TOPS U
TRF-101 Transfer of Ownership
Our First course for February will be TRF-101 Transfer of Ownership.
This course will review the various steps and processes for updating
owner information due to a resale or transfer of ownership. The
course will highlight items that should be considered from the time
you receive the Demand from the Title Company thru posting the Escrow
check into the new homeowner account. At the end of this course,
students should have a good understanding of the process for transferring
ownership. Our class will be held on Wednesday, February
6, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
ACCNT-401 Customizing Financial Reports
Our second course for February will be ACCNT-401 Customizing Financial
Reports. This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge
and understanding to customize your financial statements generated
out of the General Ledger module. Have you ever wanted to have your
income accounts grouped with subtotals like the expense accounts?
Then this course is for you! In this class we will discuss the steps
necessary to edit your existing financial statements or create new
ones to obtain the layout that will most effectively present a community’s
financial position. Our class will be held on Wednesday,
February 13, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
WO-101 Work Order Module Basics
Our third course for February will be WO-101 Work Order Module
Basics. This course is designed to help you manage work orders and
service requests as efficiently as possible. When completed you
should be able to add service requests and work orders, track costs,
invoice the home owner, and define the standard process of managing
work orders and/or service requests for your organization or community.
Our class will be held on Wednesday February 20, 2008 at
2:00 PM EST.
CCR/ACC Enforcement Series
Back by popular demand! We will be offering the 4 course series
on the CCR Module. This series starts you right at the beginning
with proper set up and finishes up with the more advanced features
of the CCR module. We will review some of the best practices we
have come across during our years in the industry. So if you want
to make sure you taking full advantage of your CCR/ACC Enforcement
module then you will definitely want to check out this series. This
series will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 thru Friday,
February 29, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
March Courses At TOPS U
ACCNT-303 The Collections Process
Our first course for March will be ACCNT-303 The Collections Process.
In this course we will review the collection process and cover the
steps needed to set up the collection module parameters. In addition
we will highlight items that you should consider when setting up
the collection process. At the end of this course you should have
a good understanding of how to setup the collection tables and process
collections on a consistent basis. Our class will be held on Wednesday,
March 5, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
IBS-101 Internet Backup Service
Our second course for March will be IBS-101 Internet Backup Service
(IBS). Are you taking advantage of TOPS Backup Service? Are you
familiar with how to use and monitor your backups? In this course
we will cover the steps to set up and maintain your backups with
the TOPS Internet Backup Service (IBS). When we are finished with
this course you will be able to set up the Internet Backup Service
(IBS) on a workstation and operate all functions. Our class will
be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.

NCS-101 New Community Setup
Our fourth course for March will be NCS-101 New Community Setup.
In this course we will cover the steps necessary to successfully
set up a new community in TOPS v3.2.1™. In addition, we will
highlight items that you should consider when setting up a community.
We will take a stroll through the New Community Setup Wizard to
initialize the basic community. Then we will walk through the process
of setting up homeowners, loading balances for homeowners, and loading
General Ledger beginning balances. We will also review the process
steps of validating the numbers between TOPS and the system one
would be moving from. We will talk about time saving tips for management
companies using a template community approach. Our class will be
held on Wednesday March 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
ADM-101 User Security
Our fifth course for March will be ADM-101 User Security. In this
course we will review the Users and Passwords module and how to
go about setting up security groups for different functional groups.
At the end of the course you will know how to set up security groups
and users. In addition we will try to highlight areas that you should
consider when preparing to set up user sign on security. Our class
will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST.
