The Year In Review
2005, what an exciting year full of successes
and great changes. TOPS Software continues to be the software solution
of choice for the Association Management Industry; we had another
record year in sales. While sales are an important metric of success,
at TOPS Software we not only measure sales but we also look at our
accomplishments and levels of customer satisfaction. And we are
pleased with the tremendous strides we've made this year with new
products, features and services.
We made several major releases
in 2005:
- TOPS MaintCo, an add on module designed to
Manage the maintenance arm of your management company from within
TOPS 2000™, or manage your maintenance company with the
stand alone version of this new software.
- Online Support Center was added to provide
customers on a Maintenance Support Agreement access to review
your support tickets online, check billing info, or search your
ticket history. The Online Support Center also allows you 24/7
access to the TOPS Knowledge-base, providing answers to basic
questions regarding the use of TOPS 2000™.
- TOPS v3.2.1™, this upgrade to our core
product was a huge undertaking and included a new more sophisticated
security system, as well as many features (to many to mention
here) designed to work on .NET framework. This system will provide
you with greater flexibility, and more control of your data as
well as user access to your system.
- Global Module, TOPS v3.2.1™
Global Module has been vastly improved and expanded to include
new features such as Global Reports and Global AP. The enhancements
to old favorites like Global Lockbox, Direct Debit, and Search
are so robust; that they have elevated Global to a whole new level
of functionality.
We added three time saving
Plug-ins to third party products:
- GetDocsNow, an upload wizard to distribute
information from TOPS 2000™ to GetDocsNow.
- ReadyCollect from AssociationReady, provides
an online collection interface for collection attorneys and management
companies who perform their own collections. Delinquent owners
may be uploaded from TOPS 2000™ to the law firm's account
for fast and accurate processing.
- ReadyResales from AssociationReady, allows
you to create and sell resale packages via a secured online interface.
Data is uploaded from TOPS 2000™ via a simple 4-step wizard.
The first ever TOPS National User Group took place
in September. With over 50 attendees it proved to be a huge success.
The feedback from participants was invaluable so expect to see several
more User Groups in the coming year.
We moved the TOPS Software Sales Office to Clearwater,
Florida from the Ft. Lauderdale, Lighthouse Point location.
In 2005 the TOPS family grew by leaps and bounds.
We welcomed three new employees: David Allen, Carl Beal, and Lillian
Golgano. We had lots to celebrate too. Nicole Sezov and Carl Beal
tied the knot in April, and Chantel and Ryan Allen did the same
in May. And our youngest addition Ella, the daughter of Carmen Wood,
celebrated her "first" birthday on December 7.
We also celebrated the accomplishments of individual
team members, Cande Estrella was promoted to Manager of Technical
Support, Tony Mechas is the new Assistant Manager of Technical Support,
and Andrea Drennen was promoted to Project Manager of Software Development.
In 2005 TOPS Software employees rallied to support
the Gulf coast victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita with contributions
to the American Red Cross. We also participated in a Christmas charity
by adopting several under-privileged children in the community and
supplied toys and clothing making their Christmas a little merrier.
As 2005 comes to a close all of us at TOPS Software
would like to take this opportunity to thank all you, for another
prosperous year and for allowing us to contribute to your successes
too. We look forward to 2006 with anticipation and continued mutual
