TOPS v3.2.1™ Distribution

Fall is typically the busiest season for the association management industry; preparing for annual and budget meetings, billing assessments for next year, year-end close, and getting set for next year - so much to do and so little time to do it.

To help relieve your burdens, TOPS Software has begun the release of the newest version of our flagship product, TOPS v3.2.1™. The goal of this version is to incorporate as many time-saving features as possible to make your life easier. Whether it's budgetary planning, creating coupons for the following year, or distributing reports, this version will save you valuable time.

Not only does 3.2.1 offer many time and money saving features, it also could allow you to recover some of that valuable office space currently taken up by filing cabinets. The TOPS v3.2.1™ Document Manager is an electronic filing system that enables you to take letters and documents created in TOPS v3.2.1™ and automatically store them to the homeowners records. You can make the lookup or retrieval process that much faster by centralizing your data, importing your external files and attaching them to the individual homeowner records. How's that for conservation and working towards a paperless environment?

All TOPS Software clients currently subscribing to a maintenance support agreement will be mailed the 3.2.1 update on CD. Why use a CD to distribute this new version instead of the TOPS Internet Updater?

A number of the new 3.2.1 programs and features, such as TOPS Calendar, Phone Messaging, and the new Job Streaming, were written using a new cutting-edge programming language. This language requires a direct installation of the framework on each computer that will be utilizing it. While it would be technically possible to distribute the new version via our TOPS Internet Updater, doing so would require our clients to download and install the supporting programs on each machine that would use the new TOPS. So, we have made the decision to send one last yearly update via CD. All future updates will continue to be distributed via the TOPS Internet Updater.

The new CD's are being released in managed increments to allow for a smooth transition for all of our clients. A number of clients have already received version 3.2.1. If your company has not yet received the new version, continue to look for it in your mailbox. The release should be fully distributed within the next 2 months.
