CAI National Trade Show a Success
Welcome to my first TOPS Software column.
My name is Matt Meiklejohn, and I am in charge of selling management
and community web sites. My personal goal as an employee at TOPS
software is to strive for and provide 100% customer satisfaction.
I hope to have my customers’ think of me as an approachable
friend and not a pushy salesperson.
I am always interested in hearing your
feedback, as well as eager to address your questions, concerns and
suggestions. To contact me, call our sales line at 800-760-9966.
Are they all like this? This is the main question
I have asked myself many times since the May 3rd and 4th CAI National
Conference in Tucson. Being only my second show as an employee of
TOPS software, I can only wonder whether any other show will top
this one.
Day one had Bruce Gran, Ryan Allen and I scrambling
to get everything perfect. Ryan was still shaving 30 minutes before
the show, Bruce was pulling his hair out trying to “reset-up”
the booth and I was trying to configure a computer with no idea
what to do. Finally things were ready and we entertained many customers
and prospective clients. The web sites and Palm Interface were a
big hit with all who visited the booth.
Day two brought a shoeshine station a few feet from
our booth, and anxious friends awaiting the Palm giveaway drawing.
Linda Schiff from Barrington Bank won the prize, much to the chagrin
of other contestants.
The CAI National show in Tucson ended with new faces,
new friends and a growing customer base for TOPS out west.
It was a major success.
Not only did I meet some great people, customers as
well as friends, I spent 3 days in a beautiful resort called “The
Westin La Paloma.” The view from my room was glorious, especially
at sunset (I did not make the sunrise showing). The rooms were immense,
the pool area was comfortable and the swim up pool bar was just
another added feature I enjoyed. I could go on about the accommodations,
like the bathrobe I wore after showering or the friendly and informative
staff at the resort but I must end this Salesbyte.
Looking back, the Tucson trade show was a great success,
for the good of the company and for a bit of R & R. I can only
hope they all are as successful as this one.
