When TOPS v3.2.1™ was released, we included a new feature, Batch Entry to the CC&R module.

This handy feature streamlined the CC&R module to help you quickly and easily create a number of duplicate records in one simple process, even across multiple associations.

This feature was very well received by our users who are doing property inspections, as it allows them to create a violation record, check mark the homes that the record applies to, and create a record for each home, even printing warning letters.

However, it was brought to our attention at the user group conference in Phoenix, Arizona, that we had missed an important aspect of the process. Not only do inspections show you which violations need to be added, but they also determine which ones have been successfully handled by the homeowners, and should be closed. Of course! As soon as we heard it, we knew that this was a feature that would bring great value to the CC&R module, and complete the Batch processing circuit. So the new Batch Close feature was born. Batch Close provides a simple interface that allows you to select a community, and a CCR Code (or all codes) to view a list of open CC&R records. You simply check the box next to each violation (or architectural request) that should be closed.

Double clicking on a record lets you drill down to view more information, and enter a note regarding that particular home.

Alternatively, when you click the "Close Selected" button, you will be given the opportunity to enter a note that will be added to all of the CC&R records you have just closed. The close date of the records is set to the current date by default, but even that may be changed to a date that you enter.

CC&R Batch Close is a very simple addition that can make your CC&R processing even more efficient than before! CC&R Batch processing is available only in TOPS v3.2.1™ via the Internet Updater.
