TOPS 2000™ Version 3.1

While you are reading this article, I want you to imagine the melody of Beethoven's 1812 overture. Hear how it starts slow and culminates in a booming crescendo of sound? The feeling that this music generates is the same feeling that we at TOPS Software are feeling now. We have been building TOPS up and up and up, and we are now reaching a crest, a summit in property management software that has not been reached before.

The new version is so packed with new features and modules, we easily could have released it under a new name: TOPS Super Management. OK, maybe I am getting a little ahead of myself, but I do think that you will love what we have put into this new version. TOPS 2000™ version 3.1 is chock full of added functionality and robust features.

First, we are introducing Rental Management features that are built in to our already robust system. Also, we have improved the General Ledger to allow for processing of larger amounts of money, and more transactions. We have added a Community Fact Sheet, which allows you to track all sorts of legal and safety information about a community. We have added a new Web Wizard to make uploading of owner data and financial reports to your community web sites easier than ever.

In tandem with this release, we are releasing a new, optional add-on. Job Streaming is designed for portfolio managers and management companies, and it allows you to automate repetitive processes globally for a significant time-savings.

Version 3.1 is currently in the beta testing phase, and is scheduled to be released mid-October 2002. Customers with support agreements that include updates will automatically be sent version 3.1.
