The Many Uses of TOPS On-Site™
TOPS On-Site™, our newest product released earlier this year,
has continued to attract attention in the property management industry.
To date, a number of customers have tried this product, and have
found it to be extremely useful for on-site community administration.
Most customers seem to use TOPS On-Site™ in one of two ways.
The first way is for self-managed communities to have a method
of managing their community information without having to perform
accounting tasks. Typically these associations hire an outside accountant
to perform all of their accounting, and then use TOPS On-Site™
to manage owners, work orders, CC&R violations, ACC requests,
facility management, and/or guard gate security.
The second scenario is one in which a management company is hired
to manage all of the accounting and administration for community.
In this scenario, the management company often uses on-site employees
to handle specific tasks such as gate security, and work order maintenance.
TOPS On-Site™ allows the management company to outsource community's
owner information to the on-site manager, while still retaining
all of the owner information in TOPS 2000™. The ability to
synchronize owner information between TOPS On-Site™ and TOPS
2000™ through e-mail also seems to be a very popular feature.
