Vendor Database: Share Vendor information among Managers
Maintaining a community or several communities takes work. One
of these types of jobs is managing vendors or service companies
working in and on your properties. In my experience with management
companies, finding reputable and reasonably priced vendors is a
task all its own. Due to this type of need, we decided to design
a feature, which is standard on all management company web sites,
to help manage this information in one central location: The Vendor
Database feature.
This feature has several facets to help streamline communication
and make the right choice when choosing a vendor. First, the vendor
database is accessible via the Internet or the World Wide Web. It
can be accessed anywhere there is an Internet connection: coffee
shops, restaurants, gyms, and other wireless internet hot spots
as well as from the office. Second, it allows each manager to share
the vendors they use, including the availability to upload comments,
forms (W9, Bonding, Licensing, Insurance, Pricing sheets, etc.),
contact information, and other useful information. Third, the manager
selects what category each vender is in: Plumber, Electrician, Networking,
Landscaping, Attorneys, etc. Finally, each manager can post prior
experience with each vendor. Information such as speed of work done,
quality, warnings, accolades, references, previous projects, etc
can be shared.
We hope you utilize this feature to help ease the manager’s
job, even if it is just a little bit!
