The Latest Design Options for TOPS Interactive Web Sites:

New Frameless Site Layouts!

TOPS Software is pleased to announce the latest development in our TOPS Interactive Web Site Service: We've gone Frameless! Customers can now choose between a framed or frameless site layout for Management and Community Web Sites.

The new frameless web sites are available in three different layouts:

1. Full Screen: This option will display your web site on the full monitor screen (100%). This is identical to the current framed site design, except no frames.
2. Fixed Width: This option will allow you to define a fixed size for your web site to be displayed in. A common example is 800 pixels wide, to accommodate a standard monitor resolution. The advantage of this option is that your web site always looks the same, no matter what size monitor it is being viewed on. The disadvantage is that for users with larger screens or higher monitor resolutions, your web site will appear to be smaller in proportion to the size of their display.
3. Variable Width: This option will allow you to define a percentage of the browser window for your web site to be displayed in. For example, you can specify that your site takes up 90% of the width of the browser window. The advantage of this option is that your web site will scale proportionally to the size of the browser window or the monitor display. The disadvantage is that the variable width may affect the way text and graphics wrap, depending on the size of the display.

New Flash Headers!

Management Company Web Sites, and communities under the Premium Web Site plan can now take advantage of our newest design feature, Flash headers. A Flash Header is an animated graphic displayed in the header of your home page, enticing visitors, and enhancing the look of your web site. You can see an example of a Flash header implemented on one of our client's web sites, at www.camga.com.

One free Flash header will be provided to customers under the Premium and Professional web site plans as part of the initial setup fee. Additional designs, or requests for Flash headers on web sites under other plan types will be an additional fee.

How to Get It

If you have an existing TOPS Interactive Web Site, and you would like to take advantage of the new frameless layout and/or a Flash header, please contact websupport@topssoft.com to place your web site on the waiting list. Be sure to include your Client ID, the address of the web site you wish to make the changes on, and the feature (frameless and/or Flash) you wish to have implemented.

Requests will be processed on a first come, first served basis, and may take several weeks to be implemented, as we expect a high volume of requests for these features. Please be patient. Our web support staff will inform you when your site changes have begun, and again when they are completed.
