Updating the Internet Updater
With this month's update, we have made several enhancements to the TOPS Internet Updater and "Update Workstation from Server" functions. Due to the nature of these program updates, each workstation will need to be updated individually. This means going to Internet > Check For Updates Online or by visiting http://www.topssoft.com/downloads.htm and running the Internet Updater from there.
The TOPS Internet Updater should be run one time on every server and every workstation to insure that all users retrieve the new programs. Please follow these ONE-TIME instructions on every server and workstation, starting with the Primary Data Server...

Corporate Corner: Change Is Good
Our Technical Support organization has been vigorously reviewing your surveys and looking at ways to enhance our customer satisfaction level and the customer experience.
One area we are redefining is our escalation process for customer cases that cannot be easily resolved by a technician on the phone. With our tracking software, our technician will escalate the problem to management. Management will work with the Technical Support and QA organizations to validate the issue and determine the proper course of action. Once the proper course of action is determined, the issue is logged into our tracking system to monitor it through the various stages until final resolution. Once a resolution has been achieved, all customers with a similar problem or issue will be notified of the resolution by email. TOPS v3.2.1™>
- Internet Updater: NOTE: Due to the nature of these program updates, each workstation will need to be updated individually. Read this month's eZine Support article for more information on this important notice.
- CCR: Batch Entry. Resolved issue with letters are not printing through the CCR Batch Entry program.
- Update Workstations: Resolved issues when updating workstation from server. Certain programs were not updating all program files.
- Internet Updater: Resolved certain situations which generated access violation errors. In most cases, it was related the the Client ID entry in the Internet Control Center.
- Internet Updater: Enhanced Internet Updater program when selecting and deselecting individual program files to update.
- CCR: Reports > Corrected the CCR History printing blank page issue when ordered by account number or lot/unit number with any range.
- CCR: Resolved an issue when clicking on the Print Report button on the CC&R Reminder screen.
- CCR: Reports > Resolved an issue with reports not opening if data path set using UNC mapping, such as \\Ftpserver\tops2000.
TOPS Interactive Web Sites>
- New "Reports" menu for Admin and Board level users, initially providing two different Directory Listings (Alphabetical and by Lot Number). Reports are shown in an online "viewer" and can be easily printed or exported to PDF, Word and other formats.
- You can now add an attachment to any task in the "Task Manager" feature. This is perfect for adding a scanned original of an architectural request or a quote from a vendor.
- Implemented "Security level" testing on the FAQ section of "What’s New" page so it only shows appropriate information based upon the viewers security level.
- The Email Bulletin subscriber list is now sorted alphabetically by the user's last name as opposed to by the date subscribed.
- If an Admin or Resource contact makes a reservation on an amenity, there is no longer a "request for approval" email sent to them, as they are auto-approved.
- Logging information on module pages now inherits the "official module title" which prohibits others from "spamming" the statistics log records.
