WHAT'S NEW
The Online Support Center
TOPS Software adds yet another value added service
for those customers on a Maintenance Support Agreement (MSA), The
Online Support Center! Fully integrated with TOPS' internal
ticket tracking software The Online Support Center allows you to
track all support tickets generated for your company. This service
was released on July 5th, 2005.

The Online Support Center will allow you to fully manage your support
account, including:
- View your company's support ticket history (From January 2005).
- Search and filter on your tickets to view specific tickets
you are looking for.
- Create a new ticket.
- Submit a request to re-open a closed ticket.
- Review your support minutes used for the current period.
- Check your billing information and monitor the amount of your
support bill for the current period.
- Review TOPS records on your company contact information, and
submit a change request, if necessary.
Each TOPS customer on a valid MSA will be able
to access the Online Support Center by requesting a log in from
www.topssoft.com.
Only one account may be set up per TOPS Customer
ID. Once your account has been verified, you will receive an email
with instructions on how to use the Online Support Center. You can
log in at any time of the day or night to check up on your TOPS
support services.
In addition to our new Online Support Center, customers with a valid
MSA also reap the benefits of instant program updates through the
TOPS Internet Updater.

TOPS Sales Update
It's been a very busy month for the TOPS Software
sales department! We set an all time record by recording the highest
sales period in 19 years of business. It is our sincerest hope that
we attained this record by engineering the most viable community
association property management software available in the industry,
bar none.
With the number of active installations, TOPS Software has earned

I was fortunate to be a participant in the CAI
- New England chapter, Visionaries Forum held June 23, 2005 in Natick,
MA. Other members of the forum were Mickey McGuire (SouthData),
Craig Huntington (Community Association Banc), Drew Regitz (Association
Voice) and Greg Pater (CondoCerts), the facilitator was the esteemed
David Levy, PCAM. We discussed emerging technological trends and
the dramatic impact they will have on our industry in the next two
to five years. In an interactive session on 'condo centric' ideas
and technology, speakers shared the 'best practices' of highly progressive
management companies from across the country. The attendees (approximately
50), were a diverse group consisting of company CEO's, presidents,
CFO's, IT consultants and department staff.
TOPS Software will be hosting a User Group, September
15, 2005 in Suwannee, GA. The event will be held at the e^deltatorium.
The e^deltatorium is a state of the art facility that seats 132,
so reservations will be on a first come first serve basis. Look
for details to be released later this month.

Three New Themes for TOPS 2000™
This month "Do Not Pass Go and Collect $200.00"
, instead "Frolic with the Dolphins"
until the "Space Shuttle Returns ".
To download the new themes, click View, Theme Manager
to access the program. When the Theme Manager appears, click the
Download button next to the themes you wish to install. If you wish
to uninstall a theme, click the remove button. Once you have finished
installing themes, click the Done button to close the Theme Manager.
To Switch Themes, click View, Themes, and select the theme you wish
to apply.

PRODUCT UPDATES
TOPS v3.2.1™ Provides Greater Flexibility
and Control
To ensure that TOPS continues to be your solution
of choice, we've focused on continuing to keep TOPS products scalable
by having solutions in place when you need them. In response to
the changing needs created by growth, we've added some great features
in TOPS v3.2.1™ to help you to better manage your resources,
tasks, and time.
Many of the new features in TOPS v3.2.1™ are user-based
for improved flexibility, mobility and control. Increased user accountability,
more security, and compliance have all been addressed in this release.
These are a few of the user-based features:
- Global Reports program that allows you to compile data globally
across all communities, and then run statistical reports on that
data.
- Phone Messenger with the ability to send and track messages
from homeowners to TOPS users.
- Calendar / Scheduler which allows you to schedule, assign, and
track tasks, and attach them to TOPS functions.
- New print routine which enables you to Print, Email, Upload
to the web, and save reports and form letters in PDF format.
- "Batch Entry" option for CC&R that allows you
to input multiple CC&R violation records with similar settings
across multiple communities and homes at one time.
- Complete Job Streaming Redesign that allows you to launch redundant
tasks across all your communities from one centralized, user-friendly
location. Now includes scheduling functionality.
- *More administrative controls with the new Users and Passwords
system.
In order to take advantage of these new features,
control of user access to the TOPS application and data across your
network must be clearly defined and controlled. Therefore, in the
3.2.1 release, TOPS Software will be deploying an updated security
key system that implements user-based security through Domain Workstation
Keys.
This technology utilizes the Windows Network login scheme to allow
a single user to log in to TOPS v3.2.1™ from any workstation
on the network under a single key.
Security keys will now be stored in a pool on your
network server, and may be - checked out' when a user accesses TOPS v3.2.1™. When the user closes TOPS, the key will be checked
back in to the server so another user may access it. If a user exits
the network without logging out of TOPS, the server will reserve
the checked out key for 24 hours prior to returning it to the pool.
With the changes to the security key system you
will need to ensure that each user on your network has a workstation
license in order to take advantage of all the new features in TOPS v3.2.1™.

Why didn't this one label print?
Q: I printed owner
labels this morning for ALL my owners. But when I checked the labels,
a label did not print for one of my homeowners. Why didn't this
one label print?
A: This problem
can be resolved by correcting the Owner 'FLAGS' option.
To access owner FLAGS, click on AR/OWNER BALANCES,
or OWNER/MAINTAIN. After selecting an owner, click the FLAGS button.
If you want a label to print for this homeowner, simply place a
check mark next to 'LABELS'.
You can also set these other Owner FLAGS from this
menu:
- Accelerated Assessments
- Hold Delinquency Notice
- Hold Payment
- Bills/Statements
- Special Forms (form letters)
- Direct Debit
NOTE: When you create a new Owner, LABELS, BILLS/STATEMENTS,
and SPECIAL FORMS are selected as a default. Additional information
on owner FLAG, can be found in TOPS2000 HELP/HELP CONTENTS. Simply
perform a search for FLAGS.
